Solicitation approval for sole source contracts.

The contracting officer shall coordinate through agency channels with the Principal Director, Defense Pricing, Contracting, and Acquisition Policy, prior to issuing a solicitation for a firm-fixed-price sole source contract type for U.S./FMS combined requirements for a major system that has an estimated contract value that exceeds $500 million.
